Welcome to the
Ten Little Forumites website. =) This is a small affair dedicated to a
Gray Matter fanfic I wrote (a year before the game
Gray Matter was released) about ten people from the
CORT-X messageboard who are invited to Dread Hill House for a deadly weekend.
The story is mainly a murder mystery in the classic Clue style, but it mixes together murder mystery, science-fiction, romance, kinks, horror and thriller elements in a parodic style. It was influenced by many works of literature, game and film, including: Gray Matter, the Gabriel Knight series, Ten Little Indians, Clue, It, the Anita Blake series, and any bad horror movie you wish. In case you find other references that I missed, drop me a line so I can update the list. =)
The forumites who lent me their names to die in my story are: Krss, Gijs, Santi, r, Almirena, Marion, Bearic, Tsolaelia, Nico Sels and gabnic. I thank them for that and for the grace with which they accepted their fates and cheered me along.
The story spawned a few fanstuffs, including silly fanart, short snippets of fanfics and a trailer for which I had some nice voice acting volunteers from the ten. Thus this site. Have a look around, have fun and don't forget to comment. =)
Credits
* gabnic was a great brainstormer for the plot and a very supportive beta-reader. Without him this story would have been really bad. He also processed the voices and helped with a huge part of putting the trailer together.
* Dread Hill House was planned by me, but designed by the very talented architect Santi. You can admire his neat and tidy plans in the dedicated section; you will find them very useful in following the story.
* The story was edited entirely by Tsolaelia after I finished posting it. Believe me, it made a world of difference.
* Gijs, Santi, Almirena, gabnic and Tsolaelia lent me their voices for the trailer and recorded bloopers and deleted scenes for your enjoyment. They were incredible in this.. and they sound great, too. =)
* All the ten and some of the other forumites on CORT-X read everything while I posted it, and gave me live feedback. That was awesome, guys. =)
